    • PURPOSE: A servo motor manufacturing method, a servo motor manufacturing device, a servo motor, and an encoder are provided to form a group of light receiving elements for position detection and a group of light receiving elements for adjusting a position at high accuracy and to improve accuracy for setting a position of a substrate much more. CONSTITUTION: A servo motor manufacturing method is as follows. When rotary disc in which one or more concentric patterns are formed around the center of the disc is fixed, a position of the rotary disc with respect to a shaft is adjusted(S5). The concentric patterns are utilized as a scale of a linear encoder when adjusting the position of the disc(S10), the eccentricity of the rotary disc is adjusted(S12). A rotary shaft of the shaft is accorded with the center of the rotary disc based on detectable output signals of the linear encoder, so that the position of the rotary disc is adjusted.
