The heating system comprises; a tank (30), the first heat source apparatus (10) of a heat pump type, the second heat source apparatus (20), heating terminals (40), a conduit (52) forming a circulation path for a heating medium and a control apparatus (60) wherein; the control apparatus configures the conduit such that only a relatively high-temperature heating medium from the first heat source apparatus and the tank, or a heating medium with a mixture of the relatively high-temperature heating medium and a returned heating medium from heating terminals may be supplied to the heating terminals without operating the second heat source apparatus when a heat amount required for heating is determined to be securable with the first heat source apparatus and the tank, whereas the second heat source apparatus is operated for combustion along with the conduit being configured so that only the returned heating medium from heating terminals is allowed to flow into the second heat source apparatus when a heat amount required for heating is determined not to be securable with a heating medium from the first heat source apparatus and the tank.
