    • A method for preventing solder from rising when producing electric contacts is provided, and electric contacts produced by using the method is provided, wherein the electric contacts are more excellent in mechanical properties(sufficient bonding strength), electrical properties(conductivity and low contact resistance), resistance to peripheral conditions(anti-oxidation), and physical properties(limitation in the rise of solder due to capillary action). In an electric contact which is connected to a copper foil(40) by soldering so that the electric contact projects from the copper foil, and which has a contact portion(47) coated with an inert metal(46) and formed to contact a mating object, the electric contact is characterized in that the electric contact is soldered to the copper foil in such a way that the contact portion of the electric contact formed to contact the mating object is cooled by a cooling unit that comes in contact with at least the contact portion of the electric contact, while a connecting portion between the electric contact and the copper foil is heated by a heating unit, and an U-shaped slit is provided at a position surrounding the electric contact. In an electric contact which is connected to a copper foil by soldering so that the electric contact projects from the copper foil, and which has a contact portion coated with an inert metal and formed to contact a mating object, the electric contact is characterized in that the electric contact is soldered to the copper foil in such a way that the contact portion of the electric contact formed to contact the mating object is cooled by a cooling unit that comes in contact with at least the contact portion of the electric contact, while a connecting portion between the electric contact and the copper foil is heated by a heating unit, and a part of the cooling unit that comes in contact with the contact portion of the electric contact formed to contact the mating object is formed in the form of a concave portion(52) to correspond to the contact portion of the electric contact.
