摘要： An artificial stone is provided to lower a production cost and express a vividly dark color by reducing the amount of white inorganic material powder, and to show various and natural color tones and patterns. An artificial stone includes 100 parts by weight of vermiculite, 0.5-5 parts by weight of inorganic powder, and 5-20 parts by weight of an organic binder. The inorganic powder is any one selected from aluminum hydroxide, silica, and calcium carbonate, or a mixture of two or more. The organic binder is a thermosetting resin obtained by mixing 100 parts by weight of epoxy resin with 5-80 parts by weight of phenol resin. The vermiculite has a particle size of 1-40 mm.

摘要： A high strength vermiculite board fabricated of expanded vermiculite is provided to show high strength while having original properties such as flame retardancy, light weight, heat insulation, etc., thereby being applied to products requiring high strength such as top plate of a sink or flooring material by comprising the expanded vermiculite together with clay and organic binder. The vermiculite board is formed of a composite comprising: 100wt. parts of expanded vermiculite; 50 to 60wt. parts of an organic binder consisting of 70 to 90wt. parts of epoxy resin and 10 to 30wt. parts of phenol resin; and 1 to 10wt. parts of clay. The expanded vermiculite has particle size of 20 to 100mm and density of 0.04 to 0.09g/cm^2. The vermiculite board is fabricated by the steps of: baking vermiculite powder to expand volume thereof; adding the clay and the binder to the expanded vermiculite; blending together the expanded vermiculite, the clay and the organic binder while agitating; and introducing the blend into a mold then preparing a formed material under pressure.
