    • A concrete composite beam and a construction method of a slab using the same are provided to reduce the height and weight of a beam by adopting half-section shape steel without a lower flange, to carry and construct simply, and to secure a relatively wide work space. A concrete composite beam comprises half-section shape steel(20) having an upper flange(21) and a web(23) formed perpendicular to the upper flange, a plurality of stirrup bars(30) surrounding the bottom of the web of the half-section shape steel and installed at regular intervals along the longitudinal direction of the half-section shape steel, a concrete member(40) formed integrally with the half-section shape steel to bury the web of the half-section shape steel and the stirrup bar partially and having a deck plate on two corners of the top surface, a plurality of studs(22) formed in the web of the half-section shape steel to be buried in the concrete member, and a plurality of longitudinal bars(60,70) arranged along the longitudinal direction of the half-section shape steel.
