CONSTITUTION: A germicide generating apparatus comprises an electrolyte inlet unit(410), a germicide discharge unit(430), an electrolytic cell(420), first and second joint parts, and an external power supply connection terminal(450). The electrolytic cell is located between the electrolyte inlet unit and the germicide discharge unit. The first joint part connects the electrolyte inlet unit and the electrolytic cell. The second joint part connects the germicide discharge unit and the electrolytic cell. The electrolytic cell comprises an anode terminal electrode, a cathode terminal electrode, and a plurality of bipolar electrodes that are located between the anode and cathode terminal electrodes. The electrodes include a central portion made of conductive active catalyst and an outer portion made of a non-conductive material.

A method for manufacturing the fiber-shaped hollow electrode comprises the steps of: (i) adding precursors of carriers to a polymer solution in which a fiber-shaped polymer, pH adjusting agent, and emulsifier to obtain a fiber-shaped carrier; (ii) adding an active catalyst precursor to a solution containing the fiber-shaped carrier to obtain a fiber-shaped electrode; and (iii) thermally decomposing the fiber-shaped electrode to obtain an fiber-shaped hollow electrode.
