    • PURPOSE: A smart energy management system and a control method thereof are provided to automatically adjust an indoor temperature, humidity, and ventilation according to the outdoor weather, thereby saving energy. CONSTITUTION: An energy management module(36) includes an Ethernet model(40), memory(42), monitoring unit(44), control unit(46), analysis unit(48), and control module(50). The memory saves outdoor weather conditions, indoor weather conditions, a temperature and humidity set by the analysis unit, adequate electricity consumption analyzed by the analysis unit, a weather forecast cast by the internet, and power supply alarm status. The monitoring unit collects the information on the status of equipment operation and provides the information to the control module. The control unit transmits the data about the temperature and the humidity sent by the control module to equipment, and controls the operation of equipment in preparation for peak power. The analysis unit sets a temperature and humidity for equipment, provides the analysis information for peak operation to the control module considering the operation status of equipment provided by the monitoring unit if electricity consumption is over the predetermined adequate amount, and determines an adequate electricity consumption by applying at least one of the weather forecast and the power supply alarm status saved in the memory. A management server(34) provides information including the weather forecast supplied by a Korea Meteorological Administration server(20) or the power supply alarm status supplied by a KOSEP server(32) corresponding to casting through an internet network. The energy management module is connected to an electricity sensor(18), weather sensor(20), and indoor sensor(22), and connected to the Korea Meteorological Administration server, KOSEP sever, and management server through an internet network.
