    • A rear axle air breather is provided to facilitate a lubricating process between an inner gear and a bearing by maintaining a proper amount of lubricating oil applied on a rear axle. A body unit(100) is inserted into a rear axle housing. A hole groove is formed at a center of the body unit, such that air is drained out from the rear axle. A bar type first filter(200) is inserted into the long groove and prevents the oil from leaking from the rear axle. Plural holes are formed on a circular second filter(300), which is arranged on the first filter and prevents the oil leakage. A circular rubber(400) is arranged on the second filter and serves as a switch. An elastic member(500) is arranged on the rubber and adjusts an air spray pressure inside the rear axle. A cover unit(600) is formed in a cylindrical shape with one open end. The cover unit covers an upper end of the body unit and protects the elastic member, the rubber, and the second filter.

An air breather body(120) is coupled to a transmission body(110). A cap(130) is coupled to an upper of the air breather body. A supporting unit(131) is provided on an inner of the cap. The supporting unit is protruded and extended to a height of an opening of the air breather body. A door unit(140) is provided at a lower of the supporting unit. The door unit opens and closes an opening of the air breather body according to a pressure difference.

CONSTITUTION: An air breather for an axle of a vehicle comprises a preventive mechanism(50) disposed to the axle, to make air in the axle flow out and prevent leakage of oil in the axle, and a cover(65) combined to the upper part of the preventive mechanism, with a gap through which air flows out. The preventive mechanism comprises an air vent(52) formed to a side of the axle and a preventive plate(54) combined to the upper end of the air vent, to intercept leakage of oil. A sealing member(62) secondarily intercepting leakage of oil is installed between the preventive mechanism and the cover.

CONSTITUTION: An air breather of a manual transmission is composed of a body(52) combined to an air discharging hole(50a) formed at one side of a housing(50) of the transmission and formed with an air discharging passage(52a) therein; a cap(54) radially separated and covered over the upper part of the body to discharge air through between the body and the cap; a rubber plug(56) embedded in the cap to cover the air discharging passage of the body; and an elastic member(58) installed between the plug and the cap to apply elastic force to the plug to make the plug open the air discharging passage if the pressure of the housing is over a predetermined value. A portion of the lower end of the cap is bent toward the body and fixed to the outside of the body. The plug includes opening holes(56c) at the rest of a part which covers the air discharging passage.

CONSTITUTION: An air-breathing device of an automatic transmission comprises a through hole(12) formed to the upper side of a transmission case(10), to allow communication with the outside; a breather pipe(14) of a hollow shape fixed in the through hole; and an opening and shutting structure(18) installed inside the breather pipe, to make the inside of the transmission case selectively communicate with the outside only when the inner pressure of the transmission case rises. The opening and shutting structure comprises magnetic substances(18a) fixed to the bottom part in the breather pipe; a moving member(18b) disposed above the magnetic substances; and through holes(14a) formed at positions higher than the magnetic substances, on the side of the breather pipe.

    • PURPOSE: A manual transmission is provided to discharge air from the transmission by flowing oil backward with forming the thread in an input shaft, and to cut down expenses and improve freedom of design by eliminating an air breather. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(2) is installed in a transmission case by a bearing, and an output shaft is mounted in the lower part of the input shaft. An output gear(6) is engaged with the output shaft, and a containing groove(7) having longitudinal spiral is formed in the middle of the input shaft. A discharge hole is connected to the containing groove, and an oil passage(9) is formed vertically in the containing groove. Oil is streamed through the bearing to the containing groove in operating the transmission, and flowed backward by rotational centrifugal force of the input shaft. Air is discharged, and oil is flowed backward with forming the thread in the input shaft. Expenses are reduced, and freedom of design is improved by not installing the additional air breather.
