摘要： The present invention relates to a system for painting the outer surface of pipe and a method for painting. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system of the present invention includes: a turning roller which mounts a pipe to be rotated in the longitudinal direction; a rotation measurement unit which measures a rotation angle and a rotation velocity of pipe rotated by the turning roller; and a painting unit which moves along the longitudinal direction of the pipe by being formed in the outer side of the pipe, and paints the outer surface of the pipe rotated by the turning roller. The painting unit includes: a child car which has a spray robot for spraying paint to the outer surface of the pipe by being reciprocally moved back and forth in a divided painting section which is divided from the entire painting section of the pipe; and a parent car which includes a control unit for moving the child car and controlling the spray robot by receiving the information on rotation velocity and rotation angle of the pipe measured in the rotation measurement unit.
