    • A sensor used to detect excess concentration of oxygen within exhaust gases is applied as an air/fuel monitor, ans is used in conjuction with readings of accelerator pedal position, water temperature, throttle value opening, transmission position, crankshaft angle, and readings from two sensors required to monitor air conditions, that is a flow rate sensor and thermocouple. NOx emission is detected to produce an output signal indicating that the air/fuel ratio is within a stable range of 15 to 18. The resulting data from the sensors are fed into a processing control unit, where control data is computed and used to control a throttle value actuator and two fuel injectors, via output driver circuits. Correction of the basic amount of fuel insected is carried out by a coefficient retrieved from a memory on the basis of engine speed.
