    • A matching unit matches an antenna to a receiver part that receives a signal of a first frequency band and a signal of a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band. The matching unit comprises a first terminal connected to the antenna; a first inductor connected between the first terminal and a first node; a second inductor connected between the first node and the ground; a first capacitor connected between the first node and a second node; a second terminal connected to the second node and also connected to the receiver part; and a third inductor connected between the second node and the ground. The second inductor exhibits a capacitive impedance for the first frequency band, and exhibits an inductive impedance for the second frequency band. The matching unit can supply the second frequency band inputted to the antenna to the receiver with a reduced loss. Additionally, signals of the second frequency band that is lower and has a longer wavelength can be received by use of an antenna that is short in length.

    • A duplexer and a communication apparatus incorporating the same which are suitable for use in communication systems with wide frequency bands and narrow separations, and which can be miniaturized while having satisfactory characteristics. The duplexer has a transmission filter constituted of a variable frequency filter in which PIN diodes are connected to dielectric resonators and a reception filter constituted of two surface acoustic wave filters and a switching circuit. In the transmission filter, one of the higher and lower sides of a transmission frequency band can be selected according to a voltage applied to a first voltage control terminal. In addition, in the reception filter, one of the two surface acoustic wave filters can be selected according to a voltage applied to a second voltage control terminal.

    • PURPOSE: A duplexer and communication machine equipment is provided, which is suitable for the communication system of a wide band and narrow separation, while achieving a satisfactory characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A duplexer includes a first filter containing a frequency variable filter formed by connecting an impedance variable element to dielectric resonators(R1,R2), a plurality of surface acoustic wave filters(SF) having different frequency pass band, and a second filter containing a switching circuit(SW) for selecting one of SAW filters.     • PURPOSE: An antenna sharing device for communication signals of a wireless handset and TV broadcasting signals is provided to enhance the receipt sensitivity of the TV broadcasting signals and the communication signals with low costs and a simple and compact structure. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(ANT) commonly receives CDMA voice signals and TV broadcasting signals. An LC parallel circuit is connected to the antenna(ANT) for forming an LC resonance circuit for CDMA voice signal frequency band. A phone duplexer(14) is connected to a rear end of the LC parallel circuit. An LC serial circuit is connected to the LC parallel circuit and a connecting end of the antenna(ANT), and receives DC voltage through a resistor(R1). Both ends of a stub(18) are respectively connected to between capacitor(C1) and inductor(L1) of the LC serial circuit and to a TV tuner(14) for impedance matching. A path forming part switches the stub(18) and the TV tuner(14) to a ground(GND).

    • PURPOSE: A band pass filter is provided to generate an image trap frequency varied according to a channel by use of a voltage controlled diode in order to remove an image frequency. CONSTITUTION: A band pass filter comprises resistors(10,20), blocking capacitances(30,40), inductances(50,60), and voltage controlled diodes(70,80). The resistors(10,20) limit a current from a tuning voltage terminal(Vt), and are connected in parallel with each other. The blocking capacitances(30,40) interrupt a direct current transferred from the tuning voltage terminal to the inductances(50,60). The inductance(50) is connected in series to the voltage controlled diode(70), and the inductance(60) is connected in parallel with the voltage controlled diode(80). Capacitance values of the voltage controlled diodes(70,80) are varied by the tuning voltage terminal(Vt), and the voltage controlled diodes(70,80) generate a resonance frequency and an image trap frequency by a connection with the inductances(50,60).
