    • PURPOSE: A passive keyless entry apparatus is provided to improve reliability of communication between stationary and mobile devices by selecting the strongest detection signal from plural antennas. CONSTITUTION: A passive keyless entry apparatus includes stationary and mobile devices. The stationary device wirelessly transmits wake-up signals and data signals to the mobile device. A device to be controlled in the mobile device is remotely controlled by instruction signals transmitted from the stationary device. Three antennas(11,12,13) receive the wake-up signals and the data signals in three orthogonal directions. Three sets of amplifiers(14,15,16) and detectors(17,18,19) obtain detection signals from the antennas. One detection signal, which enables normal detection of the wake-up signal, is selected. A selector(20) extracts the detection signal of the data signal from the selected detection signal.
