    • The invention relates to a polycarboxylate-type polymer dispersant comprising at least one copolymer which is obtained from a composition of monomers containing, in moles: A) 40 to 95 % of at least one unsaturated carboxylic monomer; B) 5 to 60 % of at least one acrylic or methacrylic ester monomer containing a polyether chain; and C) 0 to 20 % of at least a third monomer which is selected from acrylic ester or methacrylic ester or acrylamide or a derivative of acrylamide or aromatic vinyl monomer or the sulphonated derivative thereof. According to the invention, the copolymer has a controlled molecular mass distribution and can be obtained using a method comprising the following steps: i) polymerisation in aqueous solution at a temperature varying between 70 and 95 °C with a priming and transfer system comprising D) an oxidising agent and E) a reducing agent which is selected from metabisulphite salts, preferably sodium or potassium metabisulphite, the monomer/reducer molar ratio not exceeding 50; ii) semi-continuous addition of the oxidant and the monomer mixture over a time of between 1 and 4 hours; and (iii) introduction of the reducer which can be introduced as a starter before the addition of the oxidant and the monomers, semi-continuously and mixed with the monomers, or semi-continuously but supplied separately from the monomers and the oxidant. The invention also relates to a specific preparation method and to the uses thereof as a fluidising agent in mineral hydraulic binder compositions or as a dispersant agent in pigment pastes or aqueous polymer dispersions.

    • Disclosed is an electroconductive composition for dissipating electricity, which comprises a binder, a quick-curing, high strength admixture, an expansion agent, an electroconductive material, a chemical admixture, and a hardening accelerator, said electroconductive material being finely milled, pan- or pitch-type carbon fiber with a length from 100 to 1,000 mu m and being used in the amount of 0.1 to 20 % by weight. In addition to being so excellent in scattering static electricity as to ensure uniform surface resistance, the electroconductive composition is very convenient to work with because of its high fluidity. Further, the composition is endowed with such a self-leveling property as to require no additional finishing processes. It can be formed into a layer as thin as 5 mm, which rsults in a significant reduction in material cost. With these advantages, the composition can find application in various fields. A panel prepared with the composition is also disclosed.
