    • PURPOSE: Provided is styrene flame retardant resin composition with superior surface hardness and shock intensity which uses styrene copolymer with rubber reinforced polystyrene resin and acrylonitrile so that it improves surface hardness and shock intensity. CONSTITUTION: The styrene flame retardant resin composition with superior surface hardness and shock intensity comprises the components of: 10-40wt% of rubber reinforced styrene copolymer which consists of alkyl ester monomer; 10-40wt% of rubber modified styrene graft copolymer wherein rubber, styrene monomer and cyanide vinyl monomer are grafted; 20-40wt% of styrene copolymer with 20-30% of acrylonitrile content wherein more than one monomers selected from styrene, alpha-methylstyrene, N-substituted styrene and more than one monomers selected from acrylonitrile, methyl methacrylate, butylacrylate, maleic anhydride, N-substituted maleimide are formed; 1-20 wt% of styrene copolymer with 10-15% of acrylonitrile content wherein more than one monomers selected from styrene, alpha-methylstyrene, N-substituted styrene and more than one monomers selected from acrylonitrile, methtylmetacrylate, butylacrylate, maleic anhydride, N-substituted maleimide are formed; and on a basis of 100wt% of the above components, 5-30wt% of halogen compound, 1-10wt% of antimonic trioxide, 0.5-10wt% of shock reinforced agent and 0.1-5wt% of olefin active agent are added.

    • PURPOSE: A polystyrene resin having high drop impact-resistance is provided for enhancing the impact-resistant property by adopting trimodal state of rubber dispersion particles distributed in the polystyrene resin phase. CONSTITUTION: The polystyrene resin having high drop impact resistance (HIPS) comprises 5-15 wt.% of a polymer (I) including styrene monomer having rubber particles of 0.3-0.6 micrometers and polybutadiene rubber 1; 70-85 wt.% of another polymer (II) including styrene monomer having rubber particles of 1.5-2.0 micrometers and polybutadiene rubber 2; and 5-20 wt.% of the other polymer (III) including styrene monomer having rubber particles of 3.5-4.5 micrometers and polybutadiene rubber 3. The size of rubber particles dispersed in the polystyrene resin is of trimodal state. The polymers (I), (II) and (III) are polymerized at 110-140 deg.C. for 1.5-2.5 hours in 20-30% of conversion rates.

    • The invention relates to an optionally foamed sealing composition for preformed seals which can swell when treated with water. The invention also relates to a method for the production thereof out of natural rubber and/or elastomers with a matrix comprised of natural rubber/elastomer components and particle-shaped water absorbing material stored therein. The water absorbing material is a combination of (A) polysaccharide(s) selected from cellulose, starch, starch derivatives removed from grafted starch, amylose, amylopectin, dextran, pectin, inulin, chitin, xanthan, alginic acid, alginates, carrageenan, pustulan, callose, laminarin, guluronic acid, pullulan, lichenin or mixtures of the same with (B) a highly water absorbent synthetic polymer selected from polymers based on (meth)acrylate, poly(meth)acrylic acid and the salts thereof, polyacrylamide, polyalcohols or copolymers of said synthetic polymers. The invention also relates to additional cross-linking and processing auxiliary agents and to property improving agents. It is possible to securely seal superstructures, substructures, tunnels and canals with the assistance of the inventive sealing compositions.
