    • PURPOSE: A nonflammable artificial marble, which is simple to be prepared and lightweight and reduces the cost of materials and shows excellent strength and solidity and has precise surface and various patterns, and a method for preparing thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) mixing activated white clay with one of fine powdered limestone or cement powder, one of fine sawdust or millet stalk powder, a small amount of coloring agent, and either brine obtained from industrial salt containing sulfate of calcium, calcium silicate, magnesium and magnesium chloride or a composition containing the same composition preparation as that of the brine to prepare a paste type mixture(1); (ii) passing a molding plate selected from glass plate, acrylic plate, polycarbonate plate, polyvinyl chloride plate or polypropylene plate thorough an upper and lower sides sandwich roller with continuously supplying the mixture on the molding plate to obtain a sheet having certain thickness and drying the sheet in a drying furnace; (iii) after abrasing the upper side of the mixture layer by a conventional method, laminating an epoxy resin layer(3), an adhesive layer(4), a transfer film layer(5), an ultraviolet hardened resin layer(6) and a protective film layer on the upper side of the mixture layer(1) in sequence. The nonflammable artificial marble comprises: (i) a mixture layer(1) containing activated white clay, one of fine powdered limestone or cement powder, one of fine sawdust or millet stalk powder, coloring agent, and brine containing sulfate of calcium, calcium silicate, magnesium and magnesium chloride; (ii) an epoxy resin layer(3); (iii) an adhesive layer(4); (iv) a transfer film layer(5); (v) an ultraviolet hardened resin layer(6); and (vi) a protective film layer(7).
