    • PURPOSE: Provided are method for monitoring of impurities in water with high sensitivity and apparatus using the same which use a complex column including both cation and anion exchange resins so that it remarkably improves measurement sensitivity for cation electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) collecting cation in sample water to form strong acid with high dissociation degree; (ii) measuring electric conductivity of the sample water passed through a hydrogen-typed cation exchange resin column; (iii) passing the sample water through a chloride-typed anion exchange resin column and collecting anion in the sample water to form strong acid with high dissociation degree; (iv) measuring electric conductivity of the sample water passed through the chloride-typed anion exchange resin column; and (v) calculating difference between above two values in electric conductivity to measure concentration of weak acid with low dissociation degree in the sample water.

    • A method for removing phosphate from aqueous solutions is provided to use a resin loaded with hydroxide of metal ions when removing the phosphate ion from an aqueous solution. A method for removing phosphate from aqueous solutions includes the steps of: mixing a resin with an aqueous solution; discharging an excess of a liquid from the resin; adding an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solution whose concentration of the alkali metal hydroxide is at least 3% at a sufficient speed to make the pH of the liquid rise up to more than 4 while monitoring the pH thereof; adding and mixing an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solution additionally to maintain the pH of the liquid to be 4-12; discharging an excess of the liquid from the resin; and bonding the resin with the aqueous solution containing phosphate ion.
