    • PURPOSE: A haptic actuator using a spacer and rheological fluid and a haptic providing method using the same are provided to offer haptics by transferring a variable resistance applied to a spacer according to changes in the viscosity of rheological fluid. CONSTITUTION: A haptic actuator comprises rheological fluid(100), a standing cylindrical or polygonal barrel-shaped case(200), an application unit(300), a spacer(400), and an elastic unit(500). The viscosity of the rheological fluid changes by a magnetic field or electric field. The case accommodates the rheological fluid. The application unit applies a magnetic field or electric field to diversify the viscosity of the rheological fluid. The spacer, having the same shape as the cross section of the case, is located inside the case and transferred in the case. The elastic unit connects the bottom of the case to the spacer. The resistance of the rheological fluid passing through holes(410) of the spacer, which changes according to the viscosity of the rheological fluid, is delivered to a user.

    • PURPOSE: A haptic actuator using a permanent magnet and magneto rheological fluid and a haptic providing method using the same are provided to implement various haptic patterns by controlling the direction and intensity of electricity supplied to a solenoid. CONSTITUTION: A haptic actuator comprises a standing cylindrical or polygonal barrel-shaped case, a solenoid(100) which surrounds the case and creates a magnetic filed through the inside of the case when electricity is supplied, a permanent magnet(200) which is raised toward the solenoid by the attraction of the magnetic field and lowered when the electricity supply is cut off, and magneto-rheological fluid(300) which is fully filled in the case from the top of the permanent magnet to the top of the case. When power is supplied to the solenoid, the magneto-rheological fluid is pushes up with the permanent magnet and the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid is increased by the magnetic field. When power is cut off, the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid is reduced.

    • 본발명은 MRE와전자석을이용한근감각액추에이터에관한것으로서, 보다구체적으로는 MRE와전자석을이용한근감각액추에이터로서, 솔레노이드코일이감겨지며, 상기솔레노이드코일에인가되는전원에의해자기장을형성하는전자석; 상기전자석의상부에배치되며, 자기장이인가되지않은상태에서는원래의부드러운상태를유지하고, 상기솔레노이드코일에인가되는전원으로상기전자석에서형성하는자기장이인가되는상태에서는딱딱한상태로변화되는 MRE(Magneto-Rheological Elastomer); 및상기전자석에감겨진솔레노이드코일에자기장형성을위한전원을공급하기위한전원공급부를포함하는것을그 구성상의특징으로한다. 본발명에서제안하고있는 MRE와전자석을이용한근감각액추에이터에따르면, 솔레노이드코일에인가되는전원에의해자기장을형성하는전자석과, 자기장이인가되지않은상태에서는원래의부드러운상태를유지하고, 자기장이인가되는상태에서는딱딱한상태로변화되는 MRE와, 전자석에감겨진솔레노이드코일에자기장형성을위한전원을공급하는전원공급부를포함하여구성함으로써, 얇고유연하며내구성이강한소형의근감각액추에이터의구현이가능하고, MRE에인가되는자기장의유무에따라변화되는강도로부드러운느낌과딱딱한느낌의근감각을효과적으로생성하여전달할수 있다. 또한, 본발명의 MRE와전자석을이용한근감각액추에이터에따르면, 솔레노이드코일에감긴전자석에서발생하는자기장을통해 MRE의물성강도가근감각으로사용됨으로써, 근감각액추에이터의간단한구조및 소형화가가능하고, 근감각발생의구동제어가용이하며, 다기능화로소형화되는스마트기기에최적화된적용이가능하도록할 수있다. 뿐만아니라, 본발명의 MRE와전자석을이용한근감각액추에이터에따르면, 자기장을형성하는전자석을인가되는전원에의해 NS 극성이가변되는전자영구자석으로구성함으로써, 솔레노이드코일의자기장이사라지더라도전자영구자석의자기장은그대로유지됨에따라근감각발생을위한근감각액추에이터의소비되는전력을줄여줄수 있다.
