    • An objective of the present invention is to provide a wave gear device in which a rigid boss and a bearing inner wheel of a flexible external tooth gear can be fixated by a simple configuration, and a reliable sealing can be provided therebetween. The wave gear device (3) has a rigid internal tooth gear (32), the flexible external tooth gear (33), a wave generator (34), a bearing (35) which supports the flexible external tooth gear (33) in a state capable of relative rotation with respect to the rigid internal tooth gear (32); and a first welding portion (38) where the rigid boss (33c) and the inner wheel (35b) of the bearing (35) of the flexible external tooth gear (33) are fixated. The first welding portion (38) is a whole circumference welding portion where the boss (33c) and the inner wheel (35b) are sealed in a liquid-tight state therebetween. The boss (33c) and the inner wheel (35b) have at least sufficient dimensions in an axial direction, and can be fixated to each other with little labor processing and labor assembly. The boss (33c) and the inner wheel (35b) can be sealed therebetween without using an oil seal.

    • The present invention relates to a hollow wave gear unit including a hollow wave generator formed with a large-inner diameter hollow portion. In the hollow wave gear unit (1) according to the present invention, a hollow input shaft (6) of a wave generator (16) is supported by first and second input bearings (7, 9) at both sides thereof. Since large bending stress does not act on the hollow input shaft (6), the hollow input shaft (6) can be made to have a thin thickness, and thus the inner diameter of a circular hollow portion (6c) can be increased. Also, a seal member (17) is mounted into a bearing housing (8) with the second input bearing (9) mounted therein to seal a gap (19) between an axial end portion (6a) of the hollow input shaft (6) and the bearing housing (8). It is possible to prevent a lubricant from leaking into a unit hollow portion (18) from the gap (19) without installing a lubricant preventing member in the unit hollow portion (18). Therefore, the hollow wave gear unit (1) including the unit hollow portion (18) having the large inner diameter can be realized.
