    • A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a color filter on an array substrate, form the first and second black matrixes of an opposite substrate thicker to maintain a gap between the array substrate and a second base substrate, thereby having no need to install a separate spacer to reduce a process and production cost and improve productivity. A display panel(500) comprises an opposite substrate(200) and an array substrate(100). The array substrate includes a first base substrate(110), plural pixel units, and a color filter(150). The first base substrate faces the opposite substrate. A display area(DA) and a surrounding area(PA) surrounding the display area are defined on the first base substrate. The plural pixel units are formed on the display area to display an image. The color filter is formed on the display area and displays predetermined color using light. The opposite substrate includes a second base substrate(210), a first black matrix(220), and a second black matrix(230). The second base substrate faces the first base substrate. The first black matrix is interposed between the second base substrate and the array substrate to maintain a gap between the first base substrate and the array substrate and is formed on an area corresponding to the display area to block light. The second black matrix is formed an area corresponding to the surrounding area on the second base substrate to block light. A first area(A1) and a second area(A2) are defined on the second black matrix. The first area surrounds the color filter. The second area surrounds the first area and has height different from the height of the first area.

    • A TFT display panel is provided to improve a characteristic of a TFT and avoid generation of an afterimage by forming a date line made of an aluminum layer and a molybdenum layer and by forming a channel made of etching gas with a predetermined flowrate. A gate line is formed on a substrate(110). A gate insulation layer(140) is formed on the gate line. A semiconductor layer is formed on the gate insulation layer. A data line(171) is formed on the semiconductor layer, including a source electrode(173). A drain electrode(175) is formed on the semiconductor layer, confronting the source electrode. A pixel electrode is connected to the drain electrode. The data line includes an aluminum-including conductive layer and a molybdenum-including conductive layer formed in at least one of the lower and upper portions of the aluminum-including conductive layer. The semiconductor layer has first and second portions. The first portion has substantially the same type of plane as the data line and the drain electrode. The second portion is not covered with the data line and the drain electrode, positioned between the source electrode and the drain electrode. The second portion includes a chlorine atom of 3~20 atom percent. A resistive contact member(161,165) is included between the semiconductor layer and the data line.
