    • An absorbable multi-filament suture having the excellent tenacity and in-vivo breaking strength retention and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to control the draft value by changing the cross-section area of a spinneret, thereby maximizing the alignment degree. A biodegradable polymer is manufactured. Thereafter, the manufactured biodegradable polymer is spun under the condition of the nozzle draft of 100 to 300 of the polymer passing through a spinneret so that the multi- filament is manufactured. Thereafter, the suture is manufactured from the manufactured multi-filament. The biodegradable polymer is poly glycol acid, poly lactide or the co-polymer of glycol acid and lactide. The diameter of the spinneret is 0.01 cm to 0.06 cm. The tensile strength of the multi-filament is 6.0 to 10.0g per fineness. The manufactured multi-filament suture has the in-vivo breaking strength retention of 80 to 95% after two weeks from braiding. When using the co-polymer of glycol acid and lactide, the ratio of the glycol acid and lactide is 95:5 to 80:20, preferably, 95:5 to 85:15.
