CONSTITUTION: A middle part of a cylinder(20) is curved, and a moving passage(22) is linearly formed between bent parts(21a,21b). A valve assembly is installed in the end of a rod(5), and combined by an auxiliary nut. Sliding bearings are mounted in the auxiliary nut, the end of the rod and the upper part of a nut, and the central axis of the valve assembly is moved to the left and the right in the cylinder. The installation angle of the front strut is reduced with modifying the shape of the cylinder, and endurance is improved with reducing friction between the piston rod and the oil seal. Performance of a shock absorber is improved with installing the shock absorber vertically. Freedom of design is improved with obtaining the oil passage by modifying the shape of the cylinder.

The elastic members(22) include first spring members(32) installed between the inner pipes(16) and the outer pipes(20) and second spring members(34) installed facing the second flange parts(30). When an external force is given to the suspension bush(12), the outer pipes(18) compress the first and the second spring members(32, 34) to bend and deform to absorb shock or external force. A sliding bearing parts(24) contacting with the periphery of the inner pipe(16) the first flange parts(26) absorb the deformation.

The base valve is mounted between the outside of the inner cylinder(3) and the inside of the outer cylinder(1) to control the flow of a fluid between the two cylinders(1, 3) and the space of the inner cylinder(3) when the piston road(5) absorbs the shock by ascending or descending from the outer(1) and the inner cylinders(3). Therefore, the shock absorber increases the degree of the freedom in the design thereof to absorb the same shock as before.
