    • The present invention relates to automatic configuration of map information based on online game play data. A method for generating map information based on game log data according to the present invention comprises the steps of: extracting behavior data of a user character from game log data regarding a game use record of a user; and generating map information as property information for at least one region or point on a game map by analyzing the behavior data. According to the present invention, game data is extracted according to properties related to a game map, based on a game log, information required for configuration of a map is read by analyzing the extracted game data, consistency between the map information and existing map information is verified and, when there is a difference therebetween, integrates map data in a statistical method. Therefore, a system can be made where changes are automatically reflected in a map in real time, even when a game situation is changed by a game update, based on a game log created in real time.
