    • A method for manufacturing nano-size zinc oxide is provided to produce the zinc oxide in a simpler manner and at a lower cost than the conventional production methods, and to enable the control of particle size ranging from several nm to several dozen nm according to temperature control. A method for manufacturing nano-size zinc oxide by low-temperature freeze drying includes the steps of: dissolving a zinc oxide powder having a particle size of 0.5 micron or larger in an organic acid to prepare a zinc salt precursor solution; adding an aqueous base solution and a complex-forming agent to the prepared zinc salt precursor solution, and mixing the admixture; aging and crystallizing the aqueous mixture solution at low temperature ranging from -5 °C to 5 °C; freeze-drying the aged aqueous mixture solution; and washing, filtering, and drying the lyophilized powder of the aqueous mixture solution. Further, the aqueous base solution is at least one selected from sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonia and lithium hydroxide.

    • Provided are a method for preparing a transparent coating agent, a transparent coating agent composition, a method for preparing a colored coating agent, and a colored coating agent composition to improve working stability and storage stability by using colloidal silica sol and silane. The preparation method of a transparent coating agent comprises the steps of mixing a silica sol, a silane, an alcohol and a catalyst with stirring to prepare a solution A; mixing a silane and a catalyst with stirring to prepare a solution B; and mixing the solution A and the solution B with stirring and maturing the mixture at a room temperature for a certain time. The transparent coating agent composition comprises 10-60 parts by weight of colloidal silica; 10-50 parts by weight of a first silane; 10-40 parts by weight of an alcohol; and 0.5-5 parts by weight of an acid, wherein the first silane is represented by RSi(OR')3; R is CH3, CH2CH3, CH2CH2CH3, CH2CH2CH2CH3, C6H5 or CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH3; and the acid is hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, formic acid, propionic acid or acetic acid.
