    • PURPOSE: A brush holder assembly of a start motor is provided to prevent short generation due to a brush holder by forming the brush holder into a synthetic resin and to easily combine a bridge to the brush holder. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of brushes is prepared on a base plate in all directions. The plurality of brushes is accepted in a brush holder(130). A bridge is connected to an external power supply in order to supply a current to the plurality of brush. A bridge combination part(150) clinches the bridge on the brush holder. The bridge combination part comprises an insertion groove part(151) and a separation preventing groove part(153). A supporting part is fixed to the bridge combination part. A holder is projected from the supporting part. A wire connection part is bent on the supporting part and is connected to the brush by using a wire.

    • PURPOSE: A brush holder assembly of a start motor is provided to stably maintain the contact of a commutator and a brush by preventing the change of the location of a brush holder due to the elastic force of a spring and heat created in the inside of housing. CONSTITUTION: A base plate is fixed to housing. A brush(130) is installed in the base plate in order to be touched with a commutator. A brush holder(140) sticks the brush installed to a brush support part(143) to the commutator by using the elasticity of a spring(160). A holder support part(150) prevents the brush holder to move by being supported by the housing. The holder support part is projected to a radius direction of the housing. A guide-way(151) is formed on the holder support part in order to be easily inserted into the housing.

    • PURPOSE: A housing combination structure of a starter motor for a vehicle is provided to cut down the production cost by easily assembling a lever and a hook of a magnet switch on a full assembly line of the starter motor by changing the shape of a housing and to improve durability and reliability of goods by preventing the reduction of combining force caused by self-vibration of the motor. CONSTITUTION: A housing(30) is mounted to a flange unit(21) of a front bracket(20) on a yoke(10) of a starter motor. A magnet switch(40) with a hook(41) reciprocating back and forth by an electrical operation is embedded in the housing. A lever(50) for moving a pinion to operate an engine is combined with the hook of the magnet switch in the front side of the magnet switch. To easily assemble the housing embedding the magnet switch to the front bracket without interference with the hook and the flange unit, internal threads(32) are formed on the inner diameter of one end of the cylindrical housing and external threads(22) are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the flange unit of the front bracket mounting the housing. The housing is combined with the front bracket by the threads.

    • PURPOSE: A starter motor for a motor vehicle is provided to reduce the overall length and weight of the motor by inserting the bush into the armature assembly and permitting the inner end of the overrunning clutch to move deeply into the space formed in the bush. CONSTITUTION: A starter motor comprises an armature assembly(4) mounted in a housing(1) and an assembly of front and rear brackets; an internal gear assembly(3) for receiving a power from the armature assembly; an overrunning clutch(6) for transmitting the power from the internal gear assembly to an engine; and a lever(5) operating by a magnet switch(2) so as to permit a pinion(7) of the overrunning clutch to be engaged with the ring gear of the engine. The armature assembly includes a core formed by stacking a plurality of flat cores and inserted into the intermediate portion of a shaft. A bush(44) having a space(44a) is interposed between the inner surface of the core and the shaft in such a manner that an inner end(61) of the overrunning clutch moves deeply into the space formed in the bush.
