摘要： A liquid-tight slide fastener is provided to be improved in water-repellent and oil-repellent performances even without using a separate water stop flap. A method for manufacturing a liquid-tight slide fastener includes the steps of: sewing a pair of right and left coil-shaped coupling element rows(12) having core string(14) on facing-side edges of the right and left fastener tapes(16); forming a liquid-tight layer(18) on the surfaces of the right and left fastener tapes opposite to the surfaces having the coupling element rows with the pair of coupling element rows meshed with each other; cutting the liquid-tight layer along the coupled part where the pair of coupling element rows meshed with each other; and providing a water repellent or oil repellent to at least a part of the core string to attach the water repellent or oil repellent to the part of the core string.

摘要： PURPOSE: A method for molding a terminal of a slide fastener chain is provided to make the form in the terminal portions of wire fastener elements mounted to a slide fastener stabler and safer. CONSTITUTION: A coiled fastener elements(11) are used as the wire fastener elements(1) at one side edge(5) of the fastener tape(2). Cords(3) are inserted into the fastener elements(11) and are sewn by using sewing threads as fixing threads(4). The fastener tape(2) is then cut at a leg part(22) where the fastener elements(11) come into contact with the fastener tape. This cut end is welded to the fastener tape(2) by melting the leg part(22) and an inverting part(23) on the side inner than the tape side edge(5), by which the form at, the terminal of the fastener elements(11) is stabilized.
