    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely distinguish an alarm sound of a medical apparatus from a notification sound of a nurse call without stopping an output of any one sound of the alarm sound and the notification sound.SOLUTION: A nurse call master unit: extracts voice data of a prescribed sound level or more in voice data collected with a microphone 7; compares a waveform of the collected voice data with a waveform of voice data of a notification sound to determine whether or not the number of points at which both correspond to each other is the prescribed one or more; and when it is determined that the number is the prescribed one or more, causes a display unit 5 to execute a display for prompting to change the notification sound. In compliance therewith, a setup operation unit 8 changes the notification sound output from a speaker 4, so that the notification sound of the nurse call is changed to a sound having no resemblance to the alarm sound of apparatuses other than the nurse call that sound in the periphery of the nurse call master unit. The health personnel can thus surely distinguish the notification sound of the nurse call from the alarm sound of apparatuses other than the nurse call.

      SOLUTION: The portable telephone 2 stores a telephone number and an address of the emergency agency in a storage section, and includes a function of acquiring the positional information of own device. The portable telephone 2 verifies whether the specified telephone number is emergency institution's telephone number, when an opponent's telephone number is specified, and the device itself is out of service of the 1x network 4. When the specified telephone number is verified as emergency agency's telephone number, the portable telephone 2 fetches the emergency agency's address from the storage section, and transmits the urgent notification message, including the positional information of own device to the EVDO network 5 with the fetched address as a destination address. The urgent notification message arrives at a server device 3b of the emergency institution via the EVDO network 5.
