摘要： PURPOSE:To improve visibility by transmitting the sunshine which is converged by a spherical lens to a display part by using an optical fiber and then making a time display. CONSTITUTION:The spherical lens 1 is held in the center of a transparent ball 2 by a shaft 3 parallel to the polar axis (whose direction is indicated by arrows N and S), and the point on which the sunshine is converged by the lens 1, i.e. focus draws an arcuate trace at the inside spherical surface position of the ball 2 by the diurnal motion of the sun; and the arcuate trace (diurnal motion line) shifts and forms a focal plane 10 at the inside spherical surface position of the ball 2. End surfaces 4a of many optical fibers 4 are arranged on the focal plane 10 which facing the center of the lens 1. Further, other-side end surfaces 4b of the optical fibers 4 are exposed to the surface of a display plate 5 from the reverse surface of a time display part 5 and the same celestial declination times are arrayed radially at time numbers on the display plate 5 at the same circumference. Then, the sunshine is transmitted to the display plate 5 through the ball 2, lens 1, and optical fibers and the end surfaces 4 of the optical fibers 4 illuminates, so that the time is displayed 5.
