    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering ammonia capable of continuously operating for a long period of time, which includes the separation of a nitrile compound from an ammoxidation product gas, the absorption of ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrogen cyanide in the gas remaining thereafter, and the distillation of the resultant aqueous solution. SOLUTION: The method of recovering ammonia from the aqueous solution containing ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrogen cyanide, which comprises a step of distilling the aqueous solution using a distillation apparatus in which at least the portion being brought into contact with the aqueous solution is made of an alloy 1 comprising ≥3% by weight of molybdenum, ≥15% by weight of nickel and ≥15% by weight of chromium, or an alloy 2 comprising ≥1% by weight of molybdenum, ≤9% by weight of nickel and ≥20% by weight of chromium.
