The controller 2 includes a bridge 21 for protocol conversion between a first network and a second network, wherein the first network is configured by connecting the communication terminals 1 and the controller 2 by the transmission line L1, and the second network is the LAN. Among the first network and the second network, the controller 2 restricts communication traffic flowing from a network with a relatively large communication capacity into a network with a relatively small communication capacity.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device for two households for surely reporting a message to the resident of a called household without urging a visitor to record the message even when the other household which is not the household called by the visitor responds.
      SOLUTION: In the intercom device for two households, when a first living room master unit set to a transfer mode is called (S1), the control part of the first living room master unit transfers (S2) a call to a second living room master unit, and also transfers (S4) video signals (S3) received from a first entrance slave unit. Simultaneously, the video image of the visitor picked up in response to a calling operation is recorded in the sound/image recording part of its own. When speech communication is performed (S7) between the first entrance slave unit and the second living room master unit, it is detected and sound recording is performed together in the sound/image recording part wherein video images are recorded.

      SOLUTION: When a receiving part 34 and a transmitting part 35 of a sub-master unit 3 operate while a body of the sub-master unit 3 is held in a holding mechanism of a charger 4 (connection on-state), there is a risk that radio wave transmitted from a master unit 1 and radio wave relayed by the charger 4 are received with time difference by an antenna 33 of the sub-master unit 3, the receiving part 34 is saturated, because the field intensity of the radio wave relayed by the charger 4 is more intense than the field intensity of the radio wave directly received from the master unit 1 since the sub-master unit 3 and the charger 4 are in very close distance, and the communication quality is deteriorated by fall of receiving sensitivity. A radio communication means is stopped while a control part 30 discriminates that the intercom system is at the connection on state, so that the deterioration of the communication quality resulting from the radio wave relayed by the charger 4 is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To discriminate a called slave device through a simple constitution, by selecting a tone generating circuit corresponding to the slave device whose self- selection switch is operated and then connecting the selected tone generating circuit to a master device. CONSTITUTION:When a self-selection switch SW1 of a slave device CH1 is turned on, a talking part TK1 of the device CH1 is connected to a master device PA. Then a ringing tone output terminal of the device PA is connected to a tone generating circuit TN1. Under such conditions, a call switch of the part TK1 is turned on. Thus a ringing tone signal is generated from the device PA, and the circuit TN1 uses this tone signal as a trigger to generate a triangular wave signal. This signal actuates a voltage control oscillating circuit VCO, and therefore a proper siren tone corresponding to the slave CH1 is generated through a speaker SP. In the same way, the corresponding secondary ringing tones are generated for other slave devices CH2-CHn respectively. Thus it is possible to discriminate a calling slave device.
