    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit for improving the start of a hybrid induction motor and a start-improving method, by minimizing the required voltage and supplying a high starting current at start-up, and by performing the operation at an adequate current or lower, when the starting of the motor is finished and it is put into a normal operating state. SOLUTION: This drive circuit for the hybrid induction motor is provided with main windings 10 that form a main magnetic field, and auxiliary windings 20 that are connected in parallel with the main windings 10, to form rotating magnetic field to the magnetic field generated by the main windings 10. This circuit for improving the start of the hybrid induction motor is constituted of an operation capacitor (Cr) 30 that is connected between the main windings 10 and the auxiliary windings 20, and a starting and current-interrupting means 40 that, electrically connected to the operation capacitor (Cr) 30, supplies a high starting current to the motor at a start time and suppresses the starting current, when it reaches a synchronous speed after the start-up.     • PURPOSE:To start a synchronous motor with a simple circuit by detecting the magnetic field generated from the permanent magnet of a rotor at the starting time, controlling the current flowing through the driving coil in accordance with the output and operating it with the signal from an AC signal source after the acceleration. CONSTITUTION:When a permanent magnet type synchronous motor is operated synchronously, the output of an oscillator 13 is applied to a distributor 12, which distributes it into two phases of driving coils 8, 9, and the motor is synchronously rotated with the revolving magnetic field. The position of the magnetic pole of the rotor magnet is detected by a magnetic field detector 5 at the starting time, is fed through a monostable multivibrator 15 and an AND gate 16 to an OR gate 11, the output of which is applied to the coil 8 to drive the coil 8 with the output from the distributor 12. Since the OR gate 11 produces an output at the starting time and the motor is automatically switched to the synchronous operation after the starting, the motor can be readily self-started by the one magnetic field detector and the simple circuit.
