摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate a transient current at the time of power ON by removing a serial diode from an output portion, eliminating power loss, providing a switch in series to a capacitor and closing the switch upon completion of precharge to the capacitor by a precharge circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an AC input is supplied to a power supply unit 10, an AC voltage is supplied to a diode D5 through a transformer T2 in a precharge circuit 12, and a DC voltage occurs at a portion 14. Moreover, the DC voltage in the portion 14 charges a capacitor C1 but its current is limited by a resistor R1. On the other hand, after a constant delay time from the input of AC, a signal for turning a switch RL from OFF to ON is sent out from a delay element 11 and the switch RL is turned on and, as a result, the capacitor C1 is connected to a line 13. If the circuit is designed in such a manner that the electric charging to the capacitor will be completed when the switch RL is turned on, then the charging current cannot flow to C1 through the line 13.

摘要： A start circuit for a DC-DC switching converter power supply is disclosed and includes a relaxation oscillator connected to the DC voltage source for periodically generating a start pulse at a predetermined frequency. The start pulse is coupled to a power switch on the primary side of a power transformer and functions to cause the power switch to close for the duration of each start pulse. The secondary winding of the power transformer is coupled to an energy storage device such as a capacitor which stores the charge coupled across the power transformer each time a start pulse is generated. When sufficient energy has been stored in the capacitor in this manner, a circuit detects this energy level and causes the energy to be coupled to a pulse generator circuit also located on the secondary side of the power transformer. Sufficient energy as coupled to the pulse generator in this manner to enable the pulse generator to begin normal operation, the pulse generator thereupon outputs pulse width modulated pulses which are coupled across in isolator to the power switch to enable normal feedback control operation of the power supply.

Thus, when tertiary windings 14, 24 are fed back to drive transformers 18, 28, they are fed back to the transformers 18, 28 of the other set as from 14 28 and 24 18, thereby driving the base electrodes of the Trs 15, 25. Thus, the Trs 15, 25 which construct an inverter execute the operation matched to the Trs having shorter storage time, and an unbalance does not arise between the Trs.

As a result, the generator 22 generates an output current I0 which is maintained at a predetermined value and maintains the predetermined value even in a relatively low current range near zero to match it to many types of loads.
