    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible board which is downsized and thinned without worsening its strength and performance.
      SOLUTION: A casing 2 having an opening 6 at upper face is arranged inside a through-hole 41 of a circuit board 40. Terminals 43, 44 of the circuit board are connected to outside contact parts 3b, 4b of conductive contacts 3, 4 protruded from near the top end of a side face of the casing 2. A part of the flexible board 30 is inserted into an insertion hole 9 from the opening 6, a pressing piece 8 is slid toward the opening 6, and inner contact parts 3a, 4a of the contacts 3, 4 and the part of the flexible board are pinched and fixed by a wedge-shaped press-up block 10 located inside the casing 2 and pressing piece 8. A cover part 8a of the pressing piece 8 bends an outside part of the insertion hole 9 of the flexible board 30 in a direction nearly parallel with the surface of the circuit board 40.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounted connector in which good coplanarity between a soldering part and each tine part can be obtained and the fitting work of solder peg can be done easily, and which is suitable for small sizing of the connector, with respect to the surface mounted connector mounted on the surface of a circuit board.
      SOLUTION: The connector comprises a solder peg 30 which is fitted capable of free floating to each of both end parts in a prescribed direction of an insulating housing 10 in a prescribed range in vertical direction, and the solder peg 30 has a U-shape part 31 connecting a pair of side walls 12 through a side wall 11, and a solder part 32 which is soldered on the surface of the circuit board and provided at both ends respectively of the U-shape part 31. Furthermore, the side wall 11 has vertical direction movement regulating parts 1112a, 112 which regulate vertical movement exceeding a range in vertical direction of the solder peg 30, and the side wall 12 has a downward direction movement regulating part 121 which regulates movement in downward direction exceeding a range in vertical direction of the solder peg 30 at both end parts respectively in the prescribed direction.
