摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent the shaving of a film pressure plate by controlling cleaning means for magnetic head. CONSTITUTION: In the camera with magnetic head, a photographic film cartridge 14 in which a cleaning tape is housed instead of a photographic film is used when a magnetic head 13 is cleaned. The cleaning tape contains an abrasive for uniforming the wear of the head surface of the magnetic head 13. A sensor 16 detects the loading of the cartridge 14 having the cleaning tape housed therein from the external display of the cartridge 14. According to this detection, a microcomputer 22 reads values of the integrated frequency of cleaning of the magnetic head 13 and a predetermined cleaning limit frequency from an EEPROM 30, mutually compares them, drives a motor 25, when the integrated frequency is under the limit frequency, to feed the cleaning tape to clean the magnetic head 13, and prohibits the feed of the cleaning tape when it exceeds the limit frequency.
