摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a compact magnetic recording nd reproducing device with a simple structure by efficiently arranging one pair of tape reels and a tape running course for running between the tape reels. CONSTITUTION:A 1st tape reel 26 and a 2nd tape reel 27 are coaxially provided on an outer circumference of a driving cylinder 25, and the power of a motor M is reduced by a speed-reduction driving mechanism 10 and is transmitted to the driving cylinder 25. When the driving cylinder 25 is rotated in one direction, the 2nd tape reel 27 is driven by a clutch groove 27c and a clutch pin 29, and a magnetic tape outgoing from the 1st tape reel 26 is taken up via a guide pins 5a and 5b to the 2nd tape reel 27, and when the driving cylinder 25 is rotated in the reverse direction, the 1st tape reel 26 is driven, and the magnetic tape coming out of the 2nd tape reel 27 is wound around the 1st tape reel 26. A magnetic head H comes into contact with the magnetic tape running over between the tape reels to carry out recording or reproducing.
