    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components and thereby to reduce cost of an optical device, which is composed of a collimator lens for converting light emitted from an optical fiber to collimated light, a line condenser lens for condensing only one of wavefront components of the collimated light emitted from the collimated lens, a polarized light separating device and an electrooptical device and has high component cost and assembling cost because of a large number of components.
      SOLUTION: A multiple functional lens is produced by integrally molding or bonding the collimating lens and the line condenser lens to reduce the number of components from 2 to 1 and thereby cost can be reduced in both component cost and assembling cost.
