    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out compensation to the rich side upon full open and low speed running, enrichment upon cranking, etc., by providing, upstream of a slidable throttle type carburetter, a fuel supply valve which is electronically controlled in accordance with the operating parameters of an engine. CONSTITUTION:Upon cranking for starting an engine, such cranking is detected by a control circuit 9 which, therefore, actuates a fuel injection valve 8 for injecting auxiliary fuel that is added to main fuel fed from a main nozzle 4. Accordingly, a mixture is sufficiently enriched for smoothly carrying out the starting of the engine. Thereafter, when the engine is in the condition of complete combustion, the control circuit 9 decreases the open degree of the fuel injection valve 8 so that the overenrichment of the mixture is prevented. When an accelerator is opened during engine operation, a piston valve 3 and a jet needle 5 are raised through an accelerator arm 6 for increasing the supply amount of fuel from the main nozzle, and when the open degree of the accelerator exceeds a predetermined value, the supply amount of fuel is made constant.

    • PURPOSE:To enable safe driving of an engine and to reduce flue gas by providing a fuel with excellent ignitionability only from a carburetor while a throttle valve opening degree is small, and by providing a fuel with poor startability from a fuel supply valve when the throttle opening degree reaches a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:In an air intake pipe 4 of a spark ignition engine 1, an air filter 8, a carburetor 9, a throttle valve 10 and a fuel supply valve 11 are arranged in order from the upper stream side. the carburetor 9 is constituted of a float chamber 12, a float 13, a fuel supply pipe 14, a nozzle pipe 15 and an air bypass pipe 16 for generating differential pressure, and the tip end of the nozzle pipe 15 is opened in a venturi part 17 of the intake pipe 4. At start of the engine, a fuel with excellent iginitionability such as gasoline is supplied from the carburetor while an opening degree of the throttle valve 10 is small. In the meantime, when the throttle opening degree reaches a predetermined value, a fuel with poor startability such as light oil, lamp oil or alcohol is supplied form the fuel supply valve 11.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive the miniaturization of a fuel pump while effectively cooling a reverse side or the like of a piston by providing a carburetor, which supplies fuel into a combustion chamber through a crank chamber at the time of high speed of an engine, in an intake passage which communicates with the crank chamber. CONSTITUTION:An injector 18 is respectively arranged in the top part of an engine main unit 10, and intake passage 19, provided with read valves 20, carburetors 22 and an intake case 23, corresponding to each cylinder, are connected to the front part of the engine main unit 10 with introduction of a mixture possible into a crank chamber 21 of each cylinder. Fuel is supplied to the injector 18 of each cylinder from a float chamber 44 of the carburetor 22 by a fuel pump (not shown). While in an engine high speed region, fuel injection is performed from the injector 18, while the mixture is supplied from each carburetor 22 through the reed valve 20 to the crank chamber 21 here prepressurized thereafter supplied into a combustion chamber 15 via a scavenge passage 24, and during this time, the reverse side of a piston 14 and a connecting rod 13 or the like are cooled by latent heat of vaporization of fuel.

    • PURPOSE: To promote fuel to be atomized into a fine particle and improve low temperature startability of an engine when it is in a low temperature, by providing a passage, which introduces bleed air, in a starting fuel passage of a starting fuel device supplying starting fuel to the downstream of a throttle valve.
      CONSTITUTION: A device, connecting an air bleed passage 20 with a starting fuel passage 9 on its half way and opening an inlet of the passage 20 to the internal wall of a throttle body 4 in the upstream of a throttle valve 6, enables bleed air to be introduced to the starting fuel passage 9. Now the device, if an engine 1 is started by placing a solenoid operated valve 11, 12 opening and closing the starting fuel passage 9 and a bypass air passage 10 respectively in an open condition, allows starting fuel and bypass air to flow in the both passages 9, 10 being mixed in their confluent point and jetted to the downstream of the throttle valve 6 in an intake passage. Here the device mixing the starting fuel with the bleed air introduced from the air bleed passage 20 and forming the fuel in an emulsion state joining with the bypass air, enables atomization to be promoted.
