A second binding band 70 has a band 72 wound once around a periphery of a second arm 44 of the wire spring 18 and inserted into a band insertion hole 74. Subsequently, when the left end of the band 72 projecting from the band insertion hole 74 is pulled, an engaging part 75 is engaged with a band-locking part 73 in the band insertion hole 74, thereby causing the second binding band 70 to be firmly fastened to the wire spring 18.

      SOLUTION: The rail fastening device 100 fixes the shoulder 120, fitted with a spring clip 110 for pressing a rail R, to the sleeper S by the fastening bolt 130, and makes a rear end surface 124a of the shoulder abut on a retainer plug 140 which is provided on the sleeper S. The shoulder 120 comprises a front portion 121 which is equipped with a spring-clip mounting hole 122 and a fastening-bolt mounting hole 123, and a rear portion 124 which is inclined downward and the rear end surface 124a of which is formed in an arc shape. A pair of protrusive streaks 125 and 125 is provided on both the sides of the front bottom surface 121d of the shoulder 120. In the rail fastening device 100, an inclined surface 124d, which is provided on the rear bottom surface, is brought into continuous contact with the front bottom surface 121d.

A force to deviate the spring holder 4 which is generated between the spring holder 4 and the stepped surface 6a is transmitted to the leaf spring 2 through the plate 12, the shaft 11 and the hook 14; and the leaf spring 2 supports the force thereby preventing the spring holder 4 from being shifted.
