    • PURPOSE:To absorb a slack, produced due to variation in tension of a thread, and to enable running-through of a thread when tying the threads without stopping operation, by installing a thread tension adjusting member and a slope guide surface, which guides the thread to a thread catching part, between a twilling device and a thread feeder. CONSTITUTION:Since a winding bobbin 16 is formed in a truncated cone, when a traverser 17 is present on the bottom part side of a package 18, the package 18 is increased in its diameter and a peripheral velocity is increased, and a path between a guide groove 22 and the traverser 17 is maximized. Thus, since a thread Y is stretched, a thread tension adjusting plate 25 is positioned at the leftmost end of a reciprocating movement range, the plate is separated from the thread Y to release the thread Y from tension control. When the traverser 17 is moved to the small size side of the package 18, the peripheral velocity is decreased, the amount of the thread Y wound is decreased. Thus, a slack is produced on the thread Y, but the rightward movement of the adjusting plate 25 causes absorption of the slack resulting from pulling-out of the thread Y to the right and results in maintenance of constant tension. Thereafter, when a following thread for tying is run through, if the adjusting plate 25 is present leftward from the thread Y, the plate 25 is moved rightward to have the thread Y caught without stopping at a thread catching part 26.
