    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber for reinforcing a rubber, obtaining a coated layer having a preferable bonding strength for the adhesion of the glass fiber with the basic material rubber, further in a long time use on using it as a heat resistant belt, maintaining the initial strength of the bonding of the coated layer and excellent in dimensional stability. SOLUTION: This glass fiber for reinforcing the rubber is obtained by applying a glass fiber-coating first liquid obtained by dispersing a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin and rubber latex in water, forming coating film, drying and curing to form a first coated layer, then applying a glass fiber-coating second liquid having a different composition on the first coated layer to form a coating film, drying and curing to form the second coated layer. The glass fiber for reinforcing the rubber is provided by using the glass fiber-coating second liquid obtained by dispersing bisallylnadiimide, a rubber elastomer, a vulcanizing agent and an inorganic filler in an organic solvent.
