摘要： PURPOSE:To determine a very small quantity of cyanic acid ion quantitatively in high sensitivty, by using a reagent composed of an acidic solution of hydroxylamine (salt) and thiosemicarbazide under the co-existence of metallic ions and diacetyl monoxime or dimethyl glyoxime solution. CONSTITUTION:1.5-7% aqueous solution of hydroxylamine or its hydrochloride or oxalate etc. having 7.0pH (reagent A), a solution containing metallic ions such as Fe , Cd , Mn etc. and acidifying by adding H2SO4, phosphoric acid etc. (reagent B) and 0.8-2% aqueous solution of diacetyl monoxime or dimethyl glyoxime (reagent C), are used for the determination of a cyanic acid ion. The reagent A is mixed with a sample containing cyanic acid and the mixture is heated. Hereafter, the reagents B and C are mixed with said solution and the mixture is heated moverover. After that, absorbance (520nm in case of diacetyl monoxime) of developed color by water cooling is measured. Hereby, cyanic acid a measured with 10-100 times sensitivity of a conventional method without affected by the coexistence of chloride or NH4 .
