    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet stacking device capable of correctly stacking sheets continuously ejected at a super high speed from an image forming device at the predetermined loading position on a sheet stacking table, and jogging the sheets. SOLUTION: The sheet stacking device comprises an endless sheet conveying means carrying one or a plurality of sheet holding means to convey the sheets while holding a front end of the conveyed sheets, a front end stopper means which is provided movable along a sheet conveying path by the sheet conveying means, and abutted on the front end of the sheets to be conveyed to release the sheets from the sheet holding means, and a sheet stacking table to stack the sheets which are released from the sheet holding means and dropped by the abutting on the front end stopper.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet direction inverting apparatus capable of detecting double feeding of a paper sheet, and a paper sheet stamping apparatus equipped with the paper sheet direction inverting apparatus on the conveying direction upstream side of a stamping part.
      SOLUTION: A switchback mechanism for inverting the conveying direction of mails M has a drive roller 14 and a driven roller 16. The length of mails M1 and M2 sent to nips N of the two rollers in the conveying direction is detected by a sensor S3, and after switching back, the length of the mails M1 and M2 sent from the switchback mechanism in the conveying direction is detected by a sensor S5, and a double feeding detector 110 compares detection results. When the detection results are different, the double feeding detector 110 detects double feeding of the mails M1 and M2.
