    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spraying apparatus which can be made smaller in size as a whole by constituting a conveying part small in size and compact.
      SOLUTION: The spraying apparatus 1 has a mixer section 2 for mixing and agitation a spraying material 10, a delivery section 5 for pressure-feeding the spraying material 10 in a hose 4 and blowing off the spraying material 10 from a spraying nozzle 11, and a conveying part 3 for conveying the spraying material 10 from the mixer section 2 to the delivery section 5. The conveying part 3 conveys the spraying material 10 by a recessed part 33 formed on the outer peripheral surface of a rotor 31 along the circumferential direction of the rotor. The conveyance route length of the spraying material 10 can thereby be made longer than the diametral size of the rotor which is the size of the conveying part 3. The conveyance route length necessary for adjustment of a conveyance amount can be assured without making the conveying part 3 larger. Accordingly, the spraying apparatus 1 can be constituted to a small size.

    • A diffuser comprises a conduit having a cross-sectional area that increases in a direction fluid flow. In one embodiment, the diffuser is used to reduce the incidence and severity of flow fluctuations that occur in an electrostatic deposition apparatus. In some embodiments, the diffuser includes one or more flow control features. A first flow-control feature comprises one or more appropriately-shaped annular slits through which fluid having a greater momentum than a primary fluid moving through the diffuser is injected into the "boundary layer" near the wall of the diffuser. A second flow control feature comprises one or more annular slits or, alternatively, slots or holes that are disposed at appropriate locations around the circumference of the diffuser through which a portion of fluid flowing in the boundary layer is removed. Boundary-layer flow removal is effected, in one embodiment, by creating a pressure differential across such annular slit or slots. Among other benefits, such flow control features reduce any tendencies for flow separation of the primary fluid in the diffuser.

SOLUTION: A powdery and granular material is stored in the hopper 4 of a powdery and granular material feed section 2, and a delivery section 3 is provided with a pressure case 5 made of a pressure container, a belt conveyor 8 in it, and a weighing mechanism 9 weighing the powdery and granular material being transported by the belt conveyor 8. The powdery and granular material in the hopper 4 is put on the belt conveyor 8 from an inlet port 6 and is fed to a reducing furnace from an outlet port 7. The hopper 4 is provided with a powdery and granular material feed port, a shutoff valve 11, a gas discharge system 20 and an inert gas filling system 25 for gas substitution when the powdery and granular material is fed, a shutoff valve 13, and an inert gas blowing-in system 40 for blowing off the powdery and granular material dropped below the belt conveyor 8 of the pressure case 5 and for purging the internal gas.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the operation efficiency of a pump, by providing a conveyor which is endlessly mounted to extend vertically and has claw-provided bars for clawing and lifting garbage and by circulatively rotating the conveyor in front of the suction port of a suction hose so that the cavities of a screen do not get clogged. CONSTITUTION:A ladder-like conveyor 3, which is endlessly mounted to extend vertically and has many claw-provided bars 1 for clawing and lifting garbage, is circulatively rotated in front of the suction port 4a of a suction hose 4 by an electrically-driven pulley 5 containing a motor. At that time, claws 2 dig up earth and sand and scrape and lift the garbage to facilitate the suction of the earth and sand and keep the garbage from being sucked in. As a result, the cavities of a screen for the suction port 4a do not get clogged and the operation efficiency of a pump P is improved.
