摘要： PURPOSE:To unnecessitate a motor and thereby simplify a mechanism by moving a carriage manually and performing the transfer thereof in the direction of printing by an actuating means. CONSTITUTION:The carriage 10 is made to slide to the right against the force of a pulling spring 14 by an operation handle 11, the pawl part 22a of a check lever 22 is thereby moved to a concave groove 9, and immediately after this movement, the engagement part 22b of the lever 22 is engage with a release pin 25. And, when the carriage 10 is moved to the position where it is in contact with a cushion member 7, the lever 22 rotates clockwise, bringing the pawl part 22a and the ratchet teeth 5b of a rack member 5 into the state that they are incapable of being engaged with each other. Next, the operation of the handle 11 being released, the carriage 10 is moved in the direction of printing by the force of the spring 14, while the clutch of a ribbon driving gear 20 is linked to perform ribbon feeding of a ribbon cassette 18. On the other hand, a detecting switch 26 is operated by an operating member 27 to input a printing state instructing signal to a printing head 15, whereby printing is conducted.
