CONSTITUTION:Bands 3 are arranged so as to be divided into several sections in the lateral direction and suppressed from the lateral shift in the lateral direction by guides 10 and packings 11. Ink 1 is stored in an ink sump 2 so as to be contacted only with the outer surfaces of the bands 13 by the packings 11 and a part of the ink sump 2 is formed as a flat surface part 12 providing an extremely narrow gap from the outer surface of each band 12 and parallel to said outer surface. A fluid introducing port 14 is provided to the part opposed to said flat surface part to take in a compressed air and the bands 13 are effectively pressed to the flat surface part 12 by the aid of packings 13, 11. The bands 13 after the contact with a form roller 4 pass through an outlet guide part to again enter the ink sump 2.

    • PURPOSE: To provide an ink roller by which the boundary of adjacent printing area parts or non-image area is distinctly made clear without generating an obstacle such as a one revolution mark (roller mark), a ghost and density unevennesses. CONSTITUTION: A belt 21 is circulated and moved between an ink roller 1 and a belt pulley 24. The outside surface of the outer layer (soft elastic body) 22 of the belt 21 is brought into contact with a reciprocating ink roller 9. Ink is transferred from the reciprocating ink roller 9 onto the outside surface of the outer layer 22 of the belt 21. Then, the outside surface of the outer layer 22 of the belt 21 is brought into contact with the form plate of a plate cylinder 10. Ink is transferred and supplied from the outside surface of the outer layer 22 of the belt 21 to the printing area part of the form plate. In this case, the outer layer 22 of the belt 21 is uniformly pushed against the form plate by the inner layer (rigid elastic body) 23 of the belt 21. Further, ink on the outside surface of the outer layer 22 of the belt 21 is uniformly transferred and supplied to the printing area part of the form plate by cushioning action of the rubber layer of the ink roller 1. The diameter of the ink roller 1 may be made small and ink is transferred in the edge of the printing area part in a good state. The boundary of adjacent patterns or non-image area is distinctly made clear.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an ink-supply apparatus which enables ink to be supplied almost continuously without requiring a number of ink distributing rollers for smoothing and produces no shocks nor vibrations for an ink supply apparatus which supplies the ink from a primary inking roller to an ink distributing roller. CONSTITUTION:An endless band 5, wound round a pair of band rollers 4 and 4' for circulatory movement, is provided between a primary inking roller 2 and a system of ink distributing roller 7, and the ink distributing roller 7 is brought into contact with one side of the band 5 while the primary inking roller 2 is provided so that it can contact with the other side of the endless band 5 that forms straight line parts between the paired band rollers 4 and 4'. A contact control roller 6, with a plurality of protuberances of helical gear shape provided to its outer peripheral face in its longitudinal direction, is arranged in parallel with the primary inking roller 2 on the reverse side of the endless band 5 on a position opposite to the position where the primary inking roller contacts with the endless band 5. As the control roller 6 is rotated, the endless band 5 is brought into contact partly, yet constantly, in its breadthwise direction with the primary inking roller 2.
