    • PURPOSE:To prevent dislodging of end caps and to reduce the cost of a flag hinge by providing plural projections formed by cutting the metal outward in the side edge at the end of vane plates, bending the end parts having the projections into a pipe shape, and spot welding the flat plate-like end caps to the projections of the pipe parts. CONSTITUTION:Mounting holes 14, 15 are opened in one end parts of members 10, 11, and the metal at the top end 16 and bottom end 17 in the end part on the opposite side are cut out to provide plural projections 12, 13 at equal intervals. The end parts are bent into a pipe shape to form pipe parts 4, 5, thereby forming upper and lower vane plates 2, 3. A ring 6 is held between the parts 4 and 5 and a shaft core 7 is passed in said parts. Flat plate-shaped end caps 8, 9 are placed on the open ends having the projections 12, 13 and are fixed to the parts 4, 5 by spot welding. It is also possible to make only one of the vanes 2, 3 and use the same for the other. The dislodging of the end caps in the flag hinge is thus prevented and the cost of the flag hinge is reduced by the inexpensive end caps and the simple projections.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight, pedestal-shaped hinge having high strength by precisely punching a sheet material thence subjecting the same to required cold forging thereby forming pedestals and shaft cylinders with one metal. CONSTITUTION:A thick-walled sheet material is finely blanked to make a primarily worked blank material 2 for hinges. This material 2 is erected on a stationary die 3 and is upset with square base parts 2a for working pedestals, thence it is swaged by die forging with a male die 4 from the top parts of projected parts 2b for working shaft cylinders. By this swaging, the base parts 2a are elongated P2 to forge pedestals 5a while the material around the projected parts 2b is being moved P1. At the same time, the shaft cylinder parts 5b are formed by shaft cylinder forming parts 4a, whereby a secondarily worked blank material 5 is obtained. Thence, the amorphous swaged parts elongated from the base parts 2a are cut off and the shaft cylinder parts 5b are pierced with shaft insertion holes 5d, thence mounting holes 5e are pierced in the pedestal parts 5a, whereby a pedestal-hsaped hinge 5A is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a plurality of hinges through one face-pressing forging by applying face-pressing forging to the partial striplike face area over a width direction of a flat plate material from its front and back to cause material movement, extrusion-molding the bulged parts for working shaft cylinder and blaking these away. CONSTITUTION:Right and left plate parts of a flat plate material 10 are grasped by means of two sets of clamping upper dies 12, 12' and clamping lower dies 13, 13', and the material is subjected to repetitive face-pressing forging from the top and bottom sides by means of the punches 14 disposed between the dies. This causes material movement from the face-pressing forged area P1 into the extruded die parts 12b, 13b, whereby two sets of bulged parts 11b for working shaft cylinders are extrusion-molded in the end part face areas P2 of the leaf plates 11a contacting right and left. When these are blanked away, two sheets of hinge blank materials having the bulged parts 11b for working shaft cylinders at the end parts of the leaf plates 11a are obtained. Shaft insertion through-holes are pierced in the bulged parts 11b for working shaft cylinders of these hinge blank materials, whereby the leaf-plate-shape hinges are obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrally form a striker from one blank with cold forging or press molding to strengthen connection strength of a mounting seat and an engaging part without variation. SOLUTION: A first intermediate member C is formed from one blank with the cold forging, which is constructed of: a box-like part C1 whose top surface is opened; and a square-shaped preliminary engaging part C2 which projects downward from the central part of an under surface of the same. Both sidewalls x on short dimension sides of the box-like part C1 are cut off, so that a second intermediate member D is formed which has a box-like part D1 of a U shape when viewed from side. Front and rear walls y on long dimension sides of the box-like part D1 are bent, so that a third intermediate member E is formed which has a horizontal mounting seat E1. An outer circumference of the mounting seat D1 is trimmed and both ends of the same are penetrated with through-holes (a), so that a fourth intermediate member F is formed. A preliminary engaging part F2 is subjected to a penetration process, so that a square-shaped engaging part 12 when viewed from side is consecutively provided integrally with a mounting seat 11.
