    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifuge including a novel mechanism of preventing foaming, which mechanism is entirely different from that of the prior art centrifuge.SOLUTION: The centrifuge includes a rotary container 1 comprising a plurality of outflow ports 1d for discharging a separated liquid stream of a lower specific gravity each disposed on the upper end and inside the outer circumference thereof; a stationary plate 3, an independent body separate from the rotary container 1 and comprising a deceleration face remaining stationary when the rotary container 1 rotates, which deceleration face allows the separated liquid stream having flowed out of the outflow ports 1d to contact therewith to guide the same in the direction of the outer peripheral edge of the rotary container 1 from the area disposed inside the outer circumference of the upper end of the rotary container 1 to decelerate the flow velocity of the separated liquid stream by virtue of the frictional resistance and allows the decelerated separated liquid stream to dispersedly flow out into the surrounding area of the rotary container 1; and a surrounding member 2 that surrounds the outside of the rotary container 1 to prevent the separated liquid stream having dispersedly flowed out into the surrounding area of the rotary container 1 by virtue of the stationary plate 3, from leaking outside the centrifuge.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator capable of sufficiently suppressing foaming of a liquid collected through centrifugal separation.
      SOLUTION: The centrifugal separator is equipped with a rotary container 1 which separates solid particles from a liquid to be subjected to centrifugal separation, and allows the liquid having the specific gravity smaller than that of the separated solid particles to scatter and flow out, a surrounding part 2 which surrounds the outer side of the rotary container 1 so that the separated liquid scattering and flowing out of the rotary container does not leak outside the centrifugal separator, and a guide-out flow passage which is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the rotary container 1 and an inner circumferential surface of the surrounding part 2 to guide the separated liquid outside the centrifugal separator. The centrifugal separator further includes an annular foaming suppressing unit 3 in which a face collided with the separated liquid scattering and flowing out from the rotary container 1 is constituted as an inclined face for suppressing the foaming. The inclined face is inclined so that the angle of incidence when the separated liquid collides with the inclined surface is 45°, and an annular mesh part 4 is provided in an area on the side of the direction of gravity from the inclined face.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance separation effect by suppressing foaming, by providing an opening part to the upper surface of a rotary container in the vicinity of the axis of rotation of said container and further providing a wall surface upwardly extending to the peripheral edge of the opening part and recovering the liquid flowing out while getting over said wall surface. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary container 1 is rotated by a motor 9, the liquid containing a solid substance in a dispersed state continuously supplied from a pipe 6 receives centrifugal separation action and the surface of the liquid becomes almost vertical as shown by a broken line A. The solid substance is pressed and gathered to the side wall of the rotary container 1 and the separated liquid gets over a wall surface 5a to be made to flow out. This liquid also gets over the rising part 7a of a fixed lid 7 to fall on a lower plate 7c and is recovered through a flow-down port 7d. In this process, because the speed of the liquid is slower at a position where the liquid is recovered than at the outer periphery, the involution of air is reduced and foaming action is markedly reduced. Therefore, even a liquid easy to foam can be separated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a centrifugal separating and defoaming device which is extremely effective for continuous defoaming of a high-viscosity liquid, by constituting said device so that bubbles in the high viscosity liquid are floated onto the surface of the liquid, and the floated bubbles are separated, or are left and defoamed. CONSTITUTION:A high-viscosity liquid containing bubbles is supplied 3 to a rotor 1 rotating in vacuum, and a thin film is uniformly formed by centrifugal force on the inside surface of the rotor 1. Subsequently, the diameter of the bubbles in the high viscosity liquid is expanded in vacuum, and also they are floated in the rotating center direction of the rotor 1 by a centrifugal effect. Subsequently, floated bubbles 11 are accumulated by a weir 2 provided on the inside surface of the outlet of the rotor 1. On the other hand, a deaired high-viscosity liquid 10 is discharged to a casing 4 from a discharge hole 9 provided on the bottom of the weir 2, and also is discharged to the following process from the bottom of the casing 4. Also, the bubbles accumulated in the weir 2 or the liquid layer 10 containing the bubbles 11 are defoamed by solving power and injecting power of a deforming liquid atomized from a jet nozzle 8 through a feed pipe 7.
