    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator capable of sufficiently suppressing foaming of a liquid collected through centrifugal separation.
      SOLUTION: The centrifugal separator is equipped with a rotary container 1 which separates solid particles from a liquid to be subjected to centrifugal separation, and allows the liquid having the specific gravity smaller than that of the separated solid particles to scatter and flow out, a surrounding part 2 which surrounds the outer side of the rotary container 1 so that the separated liquid scattering and flowing out of the rotary container does not leak outside the centrifugal separator, and a guide-out flow passage which is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the rotary container 1 and an inner circumferential surface of the surrounding part 2 to guide the separated liquid outside the centrifugal separator. The centrifugal separator further includes an annular foaming suppressing unit 3 in which a face collided with the separated liquid scattering and flowing out from the rotary container 1 is constituted as an inclined face for suppressing the foaming. The inclined face is inclined so that the angle of incidence when the separated liquid collides with the inclined surface is 45°, and an annular mesh part 4 is provided in an area on the side of the direction of gravity from the inclined face.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam inhibition type hydrocyclone which can suppress sufficiently foaming of a separated and recovered liquid.
      SOLUTION: The foam inhibition type hydrocyclone comprises a cyclone body which is provided with a swirl flow chamber 1 having a portion with an internal diameter tapered toward a power direction, and swirling the separation target liquid supplied to a large diameter part 1a of the internal diameter to separate a material large in specific gravity and a liquid small in specific gravity, has a discharge port 1d discharging the separated material large in specific gravity at the lower end, and at the same time, has at the upper end a rising passage 1e in which the separated liquid small in specific gravity rises as a swirling flow, and an upper chamber 2 provided on the upper end of the cyclone body, in which the liquid small in specific gravity flows through the rising passage. In the foam inhibition type hydrocyclone, the cross-sectional area of a discharge canal of the liquid small in specific gravity in a passage adapter 3 is controlled so that the atmosphere of the discharge port may turn to a negative pressure of -0.1 kg/cm
      2 G at gage pressure.
