This measurement can be automated according to the shape of the containers of the chemicals to be measured such as the weight measurement or the liquid height measurement. The measured tabulation data are stored in a second management table as history of the chemicals as the value changes. It can be recorded in a bar code 7 attached to the chemicals for recognizing the chemicals so that the data can be tabulated and managed by the bar code 7 attached to the chemical bottle 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the stock counting that is the main work of stock management by independently measuring the weights of a number of chemical housing boxes, calculating the number of chemicals in the chemical housing boxes from the measurement values, and performing the stock management on the basis of the calculation values. SOLUTION: Each stepping motor 17 and a computer 20 are initialized, the bar code recorded on the outer box of each medicine stored in a chemical warehouse is read by a bar code reader 23, and the stock number of each chemical is stored in the computer 20. When the subdivision and housing of each chemical in a corresponding chemical box 4 are ended, a weighing instrument 8 on each beam 5 is successively moved through the computer 20, all the chemical boxes 4 and the weights of the chemicals therein are measured, and the present number of the corresponding chemicals are calculated and stored in the computer 20. Since the weight including the individual package weight per blister-packed tablet is constant every kind of chemicals, the value obtained by subtracting the tare weight of the chemical housing box 4 from the measurement value of the weighing instrument 8 is divided by the weight per tablet, whereby the number of this chemical can be calculated.
