    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the particle size of high viscous slurry, adjusting the average particle diameter of solid in the high viscous slurry to equal to or below a standard value, and to provide a method for concentrating sweet potato shochu dregs.SOLUTION: The method for adjusting the particle size of the high viscous slurry includes a centrifuge process of introducing the high viscous slurry into a centrifugal separator 2, and preferentially centrifuging solid of a large particle diameter using the viscosity of the high viscous slurry, and an average particle diameter detecting process of measuring with an average particle diameter detector 3, the average particle diameter of solid in the high viscous slurry applied with centrifuge treatment. In more details, the method for adjusting the particle size of the high viscous slurry includes controlling to send back the high viscous slurry applied with centrifuge treatment to the centrifugal separator 2 when a measured value in the average particle diameter detecting process excesses a previously set standard value, and adjusting the average particle diameter of solid in the high viscous slurry to equal to or below a standard value. The method for concentrating sweet potato shochu dregs includes concentrating in a multiple utility can 15, sweet potato shochu dregs adjusted in the average particle diameter of solid to equal to or below a standard value by the method for adjusting the particle size of the high viscous slurry.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy method for efficiently recycling as livestock feed, garbage produced from feeding service centers, homes for the aged and hospitals, animal vegetable residue discharged from food processing factories, and Japanese distilled spirit waste liquid discharged from Japanese distilled spirit factories. SOLUTION: A method for producing feed comprises sterilizing food residue at 80°C for a fixed time followed by momentarily decreasing a temperature, and adding lactic acid bacteria and enzyme to the product followed by fermenting to make a main raw material. In more details, the main raw material obtained by fermentation processing organic residue is mixed with molasses (amino acid extraction) and single feed to obtain feed which can be effective for the first period of breeding of livestock. Furthermore, Japanese distilled spirit waste liquid which is discharged from Japanese distilled spirit factories and richly contains vitamins, minerals and dietary fibers is promising as livestock feed, but unstable because of quickly deteriorating, so an additive (formic acid) derived from a natural product is added to the liquid to obtain an auxiliary material which is stable in properties and retains quality. Livestock feed for the middle and last period of breeding, seed livestock and mother livestock is obtained by mixing single feed with the main raw material and the auxiliary material.
