    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine a process of stripping sheathing from an optical fiber, and cutting and welding processes and perform cleaning and sleeving processes using a single apparatus.SOLUTION: Devices necessary for sheathing stripping, cleaning, cutting and welding processes of optical fibers are selectively aligned on a base at desired positions. A cutting main body of a cutting blade for cutting optical fiber is made of synthetic diamond having high strength, and the amount of synthetic diamond used is minimized. This portable optical fiber processing apparatus has a function capable of automatically removing optical fiber chips produced when cutting the optical fibers, by a manipulation of closing a cover, that is, through a single manipulation.
